NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In the final day of competition at the Elm City Challenge hosted by Southern Connecticut at the James W. Moore Field House, Dartmouth sophomore Nico Robinson finished second in the men's heptathlon.
Entering the morning second following a strong Thursday performance, Robinson continued to hold the No. 2 position through the final three events on Friday. He finished with 4,871 points, trailing only Vinny Biunno of Franklin Pierce (4,999), who was leading coming into the day.
Robinson was second in the pole vault (13-1.50/4.0m), third in the 55m hurdles (8.14) and fourth in the 1000m (2:55.76) to claim second overall in the seven-event competition.
