CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 10 Dartmouth women's squash team dropped its season opener to No. 1 Harvard 9-0 on Tuesday evening.
The Crimson took all nine matches in three straight games over the Big Green, who fell to 0-1 on the season.
In the first round of matches, senior Sarah Caughey and freshmen Rebecca Brownell and Caroline Canning dropped hard-fought games but put up a good fight against a tough Crimson group.
In the second round, junior Lydie McKenzie, sophomore Hanna Balcha and freshman Zainab Molani each faced tough competitors in the second, fifth and eight positions.
The final three parings of the night were a bit tighter in competition. At the number one position, senior Helena Darling put up a valiant effort in the first two games as did classmate Oona Morris and sophomore Madeline Fraser.
The Big Green will host Trinity on Sunday afternoon at the Berry Courts.
