CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Dartmouth men's squash team fell to top-seeded Princeton, 6-3, in the semifinals at the Hoehn Cup on Saturday morning.
The 2014 Hoehn Cup is hosted by Harvard, contested at the Murr Center and features the No. 9 - No. 16 ranked teams in the country.
Dartmouth has already improved on its finish at the event last season.
Chris Jung earned a point for the Green and White when his opponent defaulted due to injury after the third game. Jung was trailing, 2-1, at the time and for the second day in a row the team earned a point through the opposition retiring.
Mark Funk remained a perfect 2-0 at the event, winning in three-game for the second consecutive day. Funk defeated Taylor Tutrone, 11-9, 12-10, 11-8, in a hard-fought battle.
The third Dartmouth victory came from George Henderson at No. 9. Henderson won the final two games of his match to score a four-game triumph against Ben Leizman.
The Big Green conclude the 2014 Hoehn Cup tomorrow, Feb. 16, taking on Western Ontario in the third-place match. Dartmouth is looking to avenge a 5-4 defeat to the Mustangs at the event a year ago.
