HANOVER, N.H. – Heavy rain in the Upper Valley played a factor in the first day at the Dartmouth Invitational for all 13 participating teams. The Big Green finished in third place with a team score of 309 (+21).
Soggy conditions at Hanover Country Club saw just one player finish under par, as Boston University's Emily Tillo shot two-under (70).
Senior Jane Lee and freshman Isabelle Kane tied for eight with three others and shot a 76 (+4). Dartmouth's next top performer, freshman Radi Sauro finished six-over par 78 and is tied for 20th. Classmate Jessica Kittelberger finished seven-over par and was tied for 25th. Junior Lily Morrison tied for 30th and shot eight-over par (80).
The Terriers lead after 18 holes with a group score of 291 (+3). Boston College is in second and shot one stroke better than Dartmouth at 308 (+20). Fellow Ivy League foe Brown is fourth (+23, 311), Siena is fifth (+27, 315) and Wagner is sixth (+28, 316).
Boston University's Adela Cejnarova and Williams' Paige Whidbee are tied for second shooting par (72). Boston College's Cristina McQuison and Boston University's Flor Canedo are two-over par and tied for fourth.
Tee times will begin bright and early at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning as the Dartmouth Invitational concludes.
