HANOVER, N.H. — The No. 11 Dartmouth men's squash team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 7-2 win over Bates on Sunday at the Berry Squash Courts.

The men got off to a good start with junior Kyle Martino winning in straight games while senior Michael Mistras and sophomore Joshua Renaud won in close four-game matches.

In the second round of matches, sophomore Glen Brickman and junior James Fisch secured the overall match with wins. Junior Alexander Greer produced a strong performance losing a close encounter in five games.

The final round of matches showcased some impressive games as senior Mark Funk won a hard-fought four games while freshmen Brian Giegerich and Alvin Heumann had contrasting matches. Giegerich staged an impressive comeback from two games down to win in a five-game battle. Heumann displayed quality squash in the first game against an exceptional opponent before losing the next two games decisively.

Dartmouth will host Columbia and Cornell next weekend.
