THIS WEEKEND
With just four more games left in the regular season, the Dartmouth women's soccer team will head to Philly to take on Penn at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
Keri Cavallo scored in the 47th minute to give Yale a 1-0 victory over the Big Green at Reese Stadium on Saturday. At 47:28, Cavallo broke the tie with her third goal of the season. A scramble in front of the net gave the ball to Sofia Griffs, who tapped it to Cavallo to put in. In the last 30 minutes of action, the Green fought hard in an attempt to tie the score, taking five shots to Yale's zero, but they were not able to get past Rachel Ames in goal. Jackie Friedman ended the game with three shots, two of which had to be saved. Dartmouth outshot Yale, 11-5, and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
Penn enters this weekend with a record of 5-3-4 and, like Dartmouth, has not won a conference game so far and is 0-1-2 in league play. So far in Ivy League season, the Quakers have had scoreless draws against Cornell and Columbia and a 2-0 loss to Harvard. Most recently, Penn snapped its 559-minute scoreless streak with a 5-0 defeat of American in its final non-conference contest, scoring four goals in the opening 26 minutes of the game. Sasha Stephens leads the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points.
LAST TIME AGAINST PENN
On Oct. 18, 2014, the Green picked up their first Ivy victory of the season with a 2-0 shutout of Penn at Burnham Field. Corey Delaney and Friedman scored in the 34th and 48th minutes, respectively, to give the home team a lead that would last until the end of the game.
