NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Dartmouth men's tennis returned to the courts for the third and fourth days of the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship. On Saturday, the Big Green went 3-0 in doubles and 5-4 in singles, while on Sunday, they were 1-2 in doubles action and 1-1 in singles play.

After getting all three doubles teams through the Round of 32 and into the Round of 16, just one Dartmouth pair remains in contention. Junior Diego Pedraza and freshman Roko Glasnovic had an 8-0 victory over Hazarika and Kote of Binghamton to start the day and an 8-4 victory over Yale's Photiades and Brown to advance to the semifinals.

Senior Dovydas Sakinis is the lone Big Green player to still be competing in singles. He won his Round of 64 match against Princeton's Kaiser, 6-2, 7-5, and his next match against Mitak of Brown, 6-2, 6-0. In the Round of 16, he had a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Penn's Pompan to make it to the quarterfinals. Sophomore Ciro Riccardi had a good run, winning two matches before being eliminated in the Round of 16.

Those representing the Ivy League have been performing particularly well throughout the championship. All eight singles quarterfinalists and eight double semifinalists hail from Ancient Eight programs. Of the 30 plus schools represented at the start of the tournament, just five schools – Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Penn and Princeton – have players who remain for the final two days of the event.

Pedraza and Glasnovic will take to the court at 9 a.m., while Sakinis' match will be at 10:30 a.m.
