No. 11 Men's Squash Wins First Ivy Match; Knocks Off No. 7 Cornell

HANOVER, N.H. — The No. 11 Dartmouth men's squash team completed the weekend with an impressive win over No. 7 Cornell, 5-4, on Sunday at the Berry Squash Courts.

The win is the first for the Big Green over the Big Red since the 2007-08 season. Dartmouth is now 4-6 on the season and 1-4 in the Ivy League.

"It was a great win for our men and an amazing result for our seniors to have beaten Cornell for the first time in their college squash career,” head coach Hansi Wiens said.

Juniors Kyle Martino, Alexander Greer, James Fisch and freshmen John Harvey and Brian Giegerich all won their matches for the Big Green. Dartmouth took a 5-1-match victory although Cornell took the final three matches.

Dartmouth will host Brown next Friday and then travel to Yale on Sunday.
