The second run is slated to start at 12:30 p.m. for the women and 1:30 for the men. On Saturday the men will get things going for the slalom on Thomas Trail at 9 a.m., with the women following at 10:30. As on Friday, the second run will start at 12:30 p.m. with the men going first and the women at 1:30.
The Nordic race on Friday will be a freestyle sprint with the men starting at 10:30 a.m. and the women at 11:30 with the heats beginning at 1:30 p.m. The following day will feature another freestyle race, this time a 10K with an interval start as the men kick off at 10:30 a.m. and the women go at noon.
At the end of last week, a new SYNC Ski Coaches Poll came out and Dartmouth had crept up from sixth in the preseason poll into a tie for fifth with New Mexico with 59 points, despite being sixth in both the alpine and Nordic polls.
Colorado earned five first place votes and 107 total points to edge out preseason No. 1 Denver by 15 points. Utah earned the third spot, just three points behind Denver with 89, while Vermont was fourth another six points back with 83.
In addition, the EISA named their skiers of the week yesterday consisting of three Vermont athletes joined by sophomore Fabian Stocek (Jilemnice, Czech Republic) who won the 10K Classic at St. Michael's last Friday.
