NEW HAVEN, CONN. — Heading into the final week of the season, the eleventh-ranked Dartmouth men's squash team need wins to move into the A Division of the Hoehn Cup, but a tough fifth-ranked Yale spoiled the plans defeating the Big Green, 2-7, on Sunday afternoon.

Dartmouth (5-7, 2-5 Ivy) had chances throughout the contest but couldn't convert as three matches went five games and four went four games. The contest was played using a five-court system.

Senior Michael Mistras (11-7,11-7,14-12) got the men off to a good start with a three games victory, as did freshman John Harvey (11-8,11-8,11-5). Freshman Brian Giegerich (11-8,6-11,11-5,8-11,11-7), junior James Fisch (5-11,6-11,11-9,11-8,11-6) and sophomore Glen Brickman (7-11,12-10,9-11,14-12,11-4) all lost matches in five games.

Freshman Alvin Heumann (11-7,6-11,11-7,11-7), sophomore Alexander Greer (11-2,11-9,7-11,11-5) and junior Kyle Martino (4-11,11-8,11-4,11-9) were all defeated in four games.

Dartmouth will conclude the regular season against Williams on Wednesday at the Berry Squash Courts.
