PRINCETON, N.J. – Several members of the Dartmouth men's track & field team competed at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational Friday evening.
The Big Green's performance of the day belonged to Colin Minor who won the hammer throw. Minor's best throw — and the one that won him the event — came on his sixth and final attempt of the day and was measured at 199-0.0/60.65m, besting the rest of the field of 15 other competitors.
Also in the hammer, Tim Brennan (186-10.0/56.95m) and Dom Filiano (167-5.0/51.03m) were fourth and 12th, respectively.
In the 1500m, Silas Talbot was 21st overall in 3:46.93, while Patrick Gregory took 30th in 3:49.83.
The final event of the day saw Peter Geithner run a 31:42.01 to claim 14th. Daniel Salas was 63rd in the 5000m, crossing in 15:13.59.
Later on in the evening at Mt. Sac Relays in Los Angeles, Brian Masterson finished fourth in the 5000m open with a 14:19.98, while in another level of the same distance, Joe Chapin (14:13.75) and Nat Adams (14:35.64) were 10th and 21st, respectively.
The final member of the Big Green to run in the 5000m was Curtis King. The senior was 11th in his race, crossing the line in 14:07.26.
