Kruger's First Blog

Day 1: July 3

Hello Big Green Fans,

This is Brad Schierhorn and I am here in Winnipeg with fellow classmate James Kruger attending the Winnipeg Jets Development Camp. James and I will try to keep you updated on everything going on this week.

Today was a super busy day for us here. We left the hotel at 7 a.m. this morning to head to the arena for all kinds of physical and medical testing including an EKG, concussion test, orthopedic exam, dental exam, fitness testing and more. All of the testing took about four hours, and then we were off to the practice rink where we had an hour-long skate and a workout.

The skate mainly consisted of some flow drills and some 2-on-1 drills. Everyone was breaking in new gear and fresh off yesterday's travel day, so it was nice to get our legs under us a bit.

After we got back to the hotel we had about an hour and a half of free time, and of course James and I decided to go check out the Lululemon at the mall next door. Needless to say, it feels good to get some time to relax right now. Breakfast is bright and early at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow morning, so I will probably be heading to bed soon.
