Fabian Stocek, Jr, Jilemnice, Czech Republic, Men's Nordic Skiing - Interview
Fabian Stocek garnered his second podium finish of the season, placing third in the men's 10K Classic race at the Vermont Carnival on Sunday to help Dartmouth win its second straight carnival. The junior from Jilemnice, Czech Republic, has finished in the top five of every individual distance race this winter, also taking fourth in the 10K Freestyle on Saturday. Those two finishes contributed 85 points to the Big Green's total of 972, besting the host Catamounts by 60 for the title.
Sara Kikut, Sr. Burlington, Vt., Women's Track and Field - Interview
Sara Kikut was the top performer on the women's side Saturday at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic held inside Leverone Fieldhouse. The senior was a two-time winner at the non-scoring meet, taking the top spot in the 60m and the 200m. In the finals of the shorter race, Kikut ran a 7.68, while capturing the top spot in the 200 with a 25.18 to her credit. Those wins came at the right time as Kikut and her Dartmouth teammates are in the stretch run prior to the 2016 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship on Feb. 27-28 in Ithaca.
