Big Green Conclude Regular Season with, 6-3 Win at Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The eleventh-ranked Dartmouth women's squash team defeated No. 9 Brown, 6-3 in Providence on Sunday afternoon.

The victory improves the Big Green to 5-9, while the Bears fall to 6-8.

Seniors Lydie McKenzie and Tori Dewey each recorded 3-1 victories to give Dartmouth the early lead. Freshman Carly Rizzuto found herself down 2-0, but mounted a huge comeback to take the next three games for the win. Sophomore Janel Gaube competed well, but lost 3-0. Up 3-1 overall, the Big Green needed a strong second round performance to seal the victory.

Sophomores Zainab Molani and Rebecca Brownell gave Dartmouth the solid performances it needed, as each recorded a 3-0 victory to clinch the match for the Big Green. Junior Madeline Fraser won her match in five games, with the fifth requiring extra points. Freshman Emma Roberts was up 2-1 in her match before falling 3-2, while junior Jacqueline Barnes lost 3-0.

Dartmouth returns to the court for the first day of the CSA Team Championship on Friday, Feb. 26 in New Haven, Conn.
