Dartmouth Picks Up Road Win at No. 13 Drexel

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The ninth-ranked Dartmouth women's squash team defeated No. 13 Drexel in a close, 5-4 match in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.

With the victory, the Big Green improve to 3-4 overall, while the Dragons fall to 4-10.

Freshman Annie Blasberg battled, but lost her match in three games. Junior Becky Brownell lost in three games as well, but had a very close first two stanzas, losing 8-11 and then 9-11. Junior Janel Gaube played very competitive match and pulled out a win for the Big Green in four games.

Meanwhile, sophomore Emma Roberts, played well and won her match, 3-0. Senior Maddie Fraser also added a win to the overall score, beating her opponent in four games after dropping the first.

Freshman Julia Potter and junior Zainab Molani both lost in four, but gave their opponents challenging matches. Meanwhile, Junnat Anwar comfortably won her match in three games. Tied at four matches a piece, senior Jacqueline Barnes beat her opponent in four games, finishing strong after losing the first to clinch the overall match for Dartmouth.

The Big Green return to action next weekend when Dartmouth hosts Cornell on Saturday and Columbia on Sunday.
