PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth men's tennis had a good showing on the first day of the main draw at the ITA Northeast Regional Championship on Friday, winning all six of its matches.
In the first round of singles, the Big Green had four wins to advance to the next round. Freshman
Sid Chari took down his opponent from Colgate, 6-1, 6-0, while sophomore
John Speicher defeated St. Bonaventure's Indra Patwardhan by a score of 6-3, 6-4.
Fellow sophomore
Casey Ross had a 7-5, 6-3 win over a player from Wagner, and senior
Roko Glasnovic won his match against Lukas Zvikas of NJT, 7-5, 6-2.
In doubles action, Ross and classmate
Peter Conklin paired up to take down Army's Diego Huttepain and Alejandro Quiros in a very close match by a score of 8-7(2). Glasnovic and sophomore
Dan Martin had an 8-3 victory over Quinnipiac's Aleksa Martinovic and Axel Stern.
The Big Green will return to the court on Saturday.
