TULSA, Okla. – Dartmouth men's tennis junior
Charlie Broom won his first-round singles match at the 2018 ITA Men's All-American Championship on Thursday.
Facing Barnaby Smith of Texas A&M, Broom took the match by a score of 6-4, 6-2, to advance to the next round.
The University of Tulsa is hosting the championship for the 13th straight season, with matches taking place on the courts of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Qualifying singles and doubles matches were held Oct. 1-2, while the main draw contests will go from Oct. 4-8.
Broom will return to the court on Friday to face South Carolina's Paul Jubb in the Round of 32.
