The Ivy League schedule continues for Dartmouth on Saturday when they host Yale on Burnham Field at 4:30 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- Dartmouth defeated local rival Vermont, 2-1 in overtime, on the road Tuesday night to improve to 3-4-3.
- After falling behind 1-0, Dawson McCartney picked up his second goal of the season in the 76th minute to tie the game and eventually send it to extra time.
- The Big Green won on an own goal in the 97th minute thanks to pressure from McCartney.
- Goalkeeper Christopher Palacios finished the match with five saves to get his first victory of the year.
- Each team finished with 16 shots, but the Big Green outshot the Catamounts 10-6 on goal.
SCOUTING YALE
- Yale was selected to finish sixth in the Ivy League preseason poll with 51 points.
- The Bulldogs are 4-3-1 so far this season and have turned it around after a slow start.
- Yale started the season 1-2-1 with a win over Niagara, losses to Fairfield and Georgetown and a tie against Michigan State.
- Since then, the Bulldogs have won three of their last four matches beating Bryant, George Mason and Fairleigh Dickinson.
- Their most recent loss came at Harvard in Yale's Ivy League opener.
- Yale is second in the Ivy League with 12 goals in eight games this season.
- Paolo Carrol leads the Bulldogs with four goals, while Nicky Downs has three. Each of them has three assists.
AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
- Dating back to 1924, it has been a close all-time series with Yale leading 39-34-7.
- Dartmouth has had the most recent success, holding a 12-4-3 record since 2000.
- The Big Green are 3-0-1 in the last four meetings with their last loss to the Bulldogs coming in 2013 in double overtime in Connecticut.
OVERTIME
- Dartmouth has played in six overtime contests including four straight and have not lost one of them.
- The Big Green tied Boston University and Princeton with 2-2 finals, and finished in a scoreless draw against New Hampshire.
- They have defeated UMass, Albany and Vermont.
