Dartmouth Competes in ICSA National Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Freshmen Cole Harris and Aisling Sullivan, sophomore Timothy Greenhouse and junior Noah Simmons were one of 10 teams to qualify for the ICSA Match Race National Championship in Newport Beach, Calif., hosted by Stanford University.

Dartmouth placed seventh out of 10 teams that are among the best in college sailing.

The Big Green defeated Boston College, the College of Charleston, Texas A&M Galveston, Penn, Wisconsin and Washington in the round robin round.

In the next round, which was a series of races to determine the National Champion, Dartmouth fell to Penn and the College of Charleston before defeating Wisconsin to lock the Big Green into seventh place. Â Â Â

Dartmouth will now take the winter months off until its spring season begins in March.
