Bob Gaudet '81 has announced the seven incoming players who will make up the Class of 2022.

The group features five forwards, one defenseman and a goaltender who will be added to the mix for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

David Lassonde for bringing in such a fine group of hockey players and student-athletes," Gaudet said. "We look forward to these seven young men joining the Dartmouth Hockey family in the coming months and getting on the ice together as a team this fall."

• The first Granite State native to play for Dartmouth since Nick Lovejoy '13 finished his career in 2013-14.
• Played five seasons with the Islanders Hockey Club in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL).
• The past two seasons, he backstopped his team to consecutive USPHL Championships – NCDC (2018) and Premier (2017).
• Selected to play in the NCDC All Star Game.
• As a member of the IHC Elite Team, he was named Goaltender of the Year on two occasions.
• While in the USPHL, posted the best GAA.
• Graduated from Alvirne High School (N.H.) and is interested in pursuing a degree in business.

SAM HESLER

2017-18 Stats: 58 GP | 9-17-26
• Graduated from the Belmont Hill School (Mass.).
• As a senior, he captained his team to a semifinal berth in the 2017 New England Prep School Association (NEPSA) Large School Tournament. For his efforts, was named Team Co-MVP.
• In three years with Belmont Hill, he registered 82 points in 95 games.
• Earned All-ISL honors in both his junior and senior seasons.
• This past season, he went west to compete for the Wenatchee Wild and helped his team to a Fred Page Cup — the BCHL Playoff Championship — thus earning a berth in the Doyle Cup. There, the Wild defeated the AJHL Champion, Spruce Grove Saints in five games and earned a bid to the Royal Bank Cup.
• Is the younger brother of Carl '18 and son of Neil '85.
• Interested in studying economics.

• In 147 games played for the varsity team, he tallied 159 points on the strength of 71 goals and 88 assists.
• At Brunswick, he also played spilt season U16 & U18 hockey for the Yale Jr. Bulldogs and Mid-Fairfield Rangers.
• In his two seasons with Mid-Fairfield U18, his Ranger teams earned a berth in a pair of USA Hockey Nationals and his 2017 squad won a national championship.
• Represented the New England District at three consecutive USA Hockey National Festivals (2013-16).
• Interested in studying economics or international relations.

• Prior to that season, he played 42 games in the USHL where he suited up for both Fargo and Madison.
• Before juniors, he played for the Chicago Fury (T1EHL) for three years where in 99 regular season games he was a point-per-game player.
• In his only year with the Fury, he won a state and district (Central) championship thus earning a berth at the 2016 USA Hockey Nationals.
• That same year, he led the T1EHL in goals with 29.
• Interested in studying biomechanical engineering.

• Captained his prep team and was named to the All-ISL Team as a senior.

• Competed for the Boston Jr. Bruins NCDC team this past season alongside fellow incoming '22,
Harrison Markell.
