GREENVILLE, S.C. – Goaltender
Devin Buffalo '18 has signed his first professional contract with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL, the team announced Wednesday evening.
Buffalo wrapped up his senior season as a member of the Dartmouth men's hockey team in March, leading his team to Game 3 of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals against fourth-seeded Harvard.
The Wetaskiwin, Alberta, native finished his career with 25 wins, a figure that ranks 10th all-time in program history. Additionally, Buffalo posted a .901 career save percentage, which is the ninth-best figure ever by a Dartmouth netminder.
As a senior, Buffalo posted a 15-11-1 mark despite being hampered by an injury early on and yet still managed 10 league wins. At the end of the season, he was honored with a spot on the All-Ivy League Second Team.
His return to the lineup came at No. 2 Denver as he backstopped the team to a narrow 1-0 loss in the series opener, only to bounce back with a 5-4 comeback win the following evening against the defending national champs.
Buffalo is one of two goalies signed to the Swamp Rabbits' roster for 2018-19. He graduated from Dartmouth in June with a Government degree.
