TUESDAY
The long-awaited home opener is finally here for the Dartmouth men's soccer team as they take on BU out of the Patriot League at Burnham Field, Tuesday at 5 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
A UConn goal in the 79th minute proved to be the difference as the Dartmouth men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss Saturday night at Joseph J. Marrone Stadium in Storrs, Connecticut. Sophomore goalkeeper
Christopher Palacios tied his career high with seven saves on the night.
SCOUTING BU
The Terriers have had an up-and-down season in the early going so far. They lost their first game 2-0 to Rhode Island before tying Boston College 3-3 on the road. BU then fell 2-0 to UMass Lowell on August 31, but the team is coming off their first victory with 3-2 win at home over UMass on Friday. Matt McDonnell leads the way with five out of the six goals for BU this season.
AGAINST THE TERRIERS
BU holds a small advantage in the all-time series over Dartmouth with a 5-4-3 record. The Big Green went 4-0-2 over the Terriers from 1950-1998. BU has had recent success though, holding a 5-0-1 record through 1999-2016. The last time that the Big Green defeated BU was in November of 1997.
