The home stretch is here and Dartmouth is ready to right the ship against Columbia on Saturday at Burnham Field. As they have in recent years, the Lions are having another strong season and find themselves in the top half of the Ivy League standings.
SHUTTING OUT THE SALUKIS
- The Big Green won their final non-conference match of the season, 5-0, over Southern Illinois Tuesday night.
- Allie Winstanley scored twice, while Charlotte Esty, Mollie McGorisk and Ellie Geier found the back of the net as well. It was the first career goal for Geier.
- Dartmouth outshot the Salukis 17-5 and 11-2 on goal with a 4-0 corner kick advantage.
- Mariel Gordon and Charlotte Cyr secured their second combined shutout of the season. Cyr finished with two saves.
- 24 players saw action for the Big Green.
- Winstanley, Geier, Zoe Boocock, Tracey Mills and Juliet Moncho picked up assists in the contest.
- With the win, Dartmouth finishes the year with a 9-1-0 record against non-conference opponents.
SCORING ALL SEASON
- Dartmouth leads the Ivy League with 31 goals this season and 11 players have scored.
- Allie Winstanley leads the conference with nine goals and 22 points. She is also tied for first with three game-winning goals.
- Izzy Glennon is sixth in the league with five goals and is tied for first as well with three game winners.
- Dartmouth is outscoring teams 31-9 and has 30 assists compared to seven for opponents.
- The nine goals allowed is the second fewest in the conference.
- The Big Green are nearly unbeatable at home with a 5-1-0 record at Burnham Field.
SCOUTING COLUMBIA
- The Lions enter Saturday with an 8-3-2 record and are 2-1-1 in the Ivy League, placing them fourth in the standings.
- Columbia's results against conference opponents were a win over Cornell (2-0), loss to Brown (2-0), win against Penn (1-0) and a tie with Princeton (1-1).
- The Lions are currently on a three-game unbeaten streak and have only lost one match in their last seven.
- Columbia is strong away from home with a 4-1-2 road record.
- The Lions are outscoring opponents, 20-12 and bring a balanced attack. Three players have three goals, while four have two goals.
- Jessica Schildkraut has two goals and five assists to pace the team with nine points.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE LIONS
- Dartmouth is in command of the all-time series with a 25-6-4 record.
- The Big Green were 16-0-2 in the first 18 meetings from 1985-2003.
