NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Allie Winstanley scored three consecutive goals for a hat trick Tuesday afternoon to lead Dartmouth to a 4-0 victory at Merrimack. Charlotte Esty tacked on the fourth and final goal and Charlotte Cyr made her first career start and finished with a shutout.

Dartmouth (8-3-0) dominated possession throughout the match, outshooting Merrimack (2-9-0) 14-7 with four corner kicks compared to two for the Warriors.

All three of Winstanley's goals came in the first half and she now has seven on the season, which is the most by a Big Green player in four years.

"Excited about how we mentally came out at the start," said head coach Ron Rainey. "Allie had some nice finishes which gave us momentum going into the second half. This was a good team win and it got us back to where we need to be. Now we have to get ready for our next Ivy game at Yale."

The Big Green scored 36 seconds into the game on their first possession. After controlling the ball from the opening kick-off, Kat Grgic found Winstanley on the far side of the field who sent a rainbow shot over the head of the keeper to give Dartmouth an early lead.

Winstanley came through again in the 10th minute, this time coming off an assist from Isabella Villaflor. Her hat-trick goal was in the 38th minute and was from a helper by Hayley Soriano to extend the Dartmouth advantage to 3-0.

Dartmouth controlled the pace in the second half and capped off the day with a goal by Esty in the 76th minute with an assist from Ellie Geier.

The Big Green head right back into Ivy League play with a match at Yale on Saturday at 1 p.m.
