THIS WEEKEND
We're now in the thick of December and Dartmouth has two games in three days. The Big Green will first make the short trip to UMass Lowell for a Friday night contest. The River Hawks started the year 0-7 but have put the pieces together to win their last three games. Texas State makes a visit to Hanover for the first-ever meeting between the teams. The Bobcats have had a strong start to the season with a 5-2 record. The furthest north Texas State has gone in 10 years was New York City.

BACK ON TRACK

Dartmouth felt comfortable being back at home in front of a rowdy Education Day crowd and came away with a 57-41 win over Maine on Tuesday afternoon.
The Big Green played their best defense of the year and held the Black Bears to nine points in the second half, outscoring them 28-9 in the final 20 minutes.
41 points was the fewest number of points allowed this season.
Maine was ahead by 11 with 2:33 to go in the first half but a 15-0 Dartmouth run from 2:05 in the second to 7:55 in the third put the home team up 36-32 and the Big Green never trailed again.
Dartmouth outscored Maine 15-5 in the third and 13-4 in the fourth to close the game.
Annie McKenna was two points shy of her career high with 18 points, sinking three 3-pointers, and had five assists.
Anna Luce posted 13 points and seven rebounds on 4-7 shooting.
Katie Douglas tallied 10 points in her third consecutive start.
Elle Louie chipped in seven points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Paula Lenart led all players with 11 rebounds and had five points.
Dartmouth shot 44.2 percent from the field and held Maine to 30.6 percent shooting.

LOVING IT AT LEEDE

After Tuesday's win at home, the Big Green are still unbeaten at Leede Arena (3-0).
Dartmouth defeated Vermont (72-55), in the opener then beat Merrimack (57-52) and most recently stayed undefeated at home with a win over Maine (57-41).
The Big Green average 62.0 ppg and allow only 49.3 ppg for a +12.7-scoring margin.
The Big Green are limiting opponents to 31 percent shooting and 23.2 from 3-point range, while Dartmouth shoots 46.6 percent and 34.1 percent from downtown.
Rebounding had also been key to home success. The Big Green average 39.7 rpg, while opponents grab 32.0 rpg for a +7.7-rebounding margin.
Annie McKenna leads the team at Leede with 15.7 ppg and 5.0 apg. She shoots 48 percent from the field (17-35) and 5-10 from three.
Anna Luce averages 15 ppg and 5.7 rpg at home.

MACK ATTACK

Annie McKenna has been the unquestioned leader for the Big Green this season.
She plays just about every minute of each game, averaging 38.1 minutes per game.
McKenna leads the team in points (13.1 ppg), assists (4.6), 3-pointers (12) and free throws (12).
She is second on the team with a 1.28 assist to turnover ratio and third with eight steals.

AGAINST THE AMERICA EAST

Dartmouth will play its third out of four total games against teams from the America East when they face UMass Lowell on Friday night.
The Big Green are 2-0 against the conference with wins over Vermont (72-55) and Maine (57-41).
The Big Green average 64.5 ppg and allow only 48.0 ppg for a +16.5-scoring margin.
McKenna and Luce both put up 16.6 ppg. McKenna averages 5.0 apg, while Luce grabs 6.5 rpg against America East foes.
Katie Douglas also scores in double figures with 10.0 ppg on 7-13 shooting.
Paula Lenart puts up 9.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg on an 80 percent clip and Elle Louie posts 7.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 4.0 apg against the conference.

SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL

The River Hawks started the season 0-7 but have been playing their best basketball as of late and have put together a three-game winning streak.
UMass Lowell's wins came in a week-long stretch over Bryant (55-35), Central Connecticut (56-54), and LIU (65-56).
The River Hawks are 0-2 against the Ivy League with losses to Yale (67-59) and Cornell (70-56).
UMass Lowell has a -13.2-scoring margin. They average 52.8 ppg and give up 66.0 ppg.
Ren'Cia Rolling leads the team with 12.0 ppg and 2.6 steals per game. She is 17-36 from beyond the arc and has taken 31 ahead of the player in second for that category.
Denise Solis is the only other River Hawk to post double figures with 11.2 ppg. Solis is second on the team with 6.3 rpg.
Jaliena Sanchez scores 8.6 ppg and leads the team with 2.5 apg.
UMass Lowell has not had a consistent starting lineup with seven out of the nine players that have seen action making at least three starts.
But the lineup of Sanchez, Kharis Idom, Rolling, Chasidey Willis and Solis has been the same for the last five games.

ALL-TIME AGAINST THE RIVER HAWKS

Dartmouth and UMass Lowell played the first game in the all-time series last season at Leede Arena.
The Big Green came away with a dominating 70-54 win.
Cy Lippold sunk a career high seven 3-pointers on her way to 25 points, while Annie McKenna, Kealy Brown and Isalys Quinones were also in double figures.
Brianna Rudolph led Lowell with 13 points and Bri Stiers had 12.

RIVER HAWKS' LAST TIME OUT

UMass Lowell won its third consecutive game over LIU on Sunday, 65-56.
Lowell dominated the first three quarters, building its lead to 29 with 2:49 left in the third quarter.
LIU made it a game by outscoring the River Hawks 23-8 in the fourth and cut the lead to nine but could not complete the comeback.
Solis led three River Hawks with 16 points and six rebounds.
Sanchez had 15 with six boards.
Kaylen Banwareesingh finished with 10 points and four rebounds off the bench.

SCOUTING TEXAS STATE

The Bobcats are making a trip to uncharted territory when they come to the Upper Valley.
Texas State is off to a strong start with a 5-2 record and have won three straight games.
The Bobcats are a dangerous and well-balanced team with three players averaging double figure point totals.
Da'Nasia Hood leads the team with 10.4 ppg and is second with 5.4 rpg.
Brooke Holle scores 10.3 ppg and leads the team with 5.9 rpg and 2.4 spg.
Taylor Kennedy is also in double figures with 10.1 ppg and leads the way with 4.8 apg.
Texas State has four more players averaging at least five points.

BOBCATS' LAST TIME OUT

Texas State is coming off a 74-69 overtime win against UTSA.
It was a back-and-forth game and Texas State had to make a layup with five seconds left in regulation to send it to OT.
The Bobcats started overtime on a 4-0 run and never relinquished the lead to take the win.
Taylor Kennedy scored a career high 22 points on 8-9 shooting.
Brooke Holle had 19 points, five steals, four rebounds and three assists and was 10-12 from the free throw line.
Jayla Johnson tallied 11 points and four rebounds off the bench.
Da'Nasia Hood finished with 10 points and six boards.
