THE TEAMS AT THE TOP
The Big Green face the two best teams in the Ivy League in a do-or-die weekend. Dartmouth is in New Jersey first to take on Princeton Friday night, it then heads to The Palestra to face Penn on Saturday.
BUZZER-BEATING THE BULLDOGS
- Paula Lenart caught a "pass" from Isalys Quinones and put up a last second shot under the basket that beat the buzzer to give Dartmouth a thrilling 56-54 win over Yale Friday night.
- Dartmouth found themselves trailing 18-8 at the end of the first, but turned up the defensive pressure in the second and outscored Yale 12-2 to tie the game at 20 at halftime.
- The Big Green extended their lead to 38-30 at the end of three, setting up an exciting fourth quarter.
- Not only did Lenart make the game-winner, she tied the game with a mid-range jumper with 29 seconds to go.
- Yale looked to have the final possession but Dartmouth forced a turnover to get the ball back with 4.7 seconds to go and Lenart hit the buzzer-beater, sending Leede Arena into a frenzy.
- Quinones led the way with 18 points, while Katie Douglas had 13 and Lenart finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Annie McKenna had five points, eight assists, six steals and five rebounds.
- Dartmouth held Roxy Barahman, the Ivy Leagues second leading scorer, to eight points.
- It was the first home win for the Big Green over Yale since March of 2009.
RUNNING AWAY FROM BEARS
- Dartmouth rode that momentum into Saturday and blew out Brown, 78-43. It was the first 30-point or more (35) win for the Big Green since they did it to NJIT (31) in 2017.
- Four players scored in double figures for Dartmouth who were again led by Quinones who had 23 and nine rebounds.
- Douglas had her first career 20-point game and made four 3-pointers, including 12 points in the third quarter.
- Kealy Brown matched her career highs in points and rebounds with 14 and eight and set a career high with five steals. Brown also scored 12 points in the third.
- Lenart finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
- Princeton is coming off its biggest win of the season taking down Penn, 68-53, Tuesday night at The Palestra.
- Bella Alarie finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds against the Quakers and Princeton outscored Penn, 18-7, in the fourth quarter.
- With the win, the Tigers moved into a tie with Penn for first place in the Ivy League with an 8-2 conference record. They have also won six games in a row.
- Alarie leads the Ivy League, averaging 23.6 ppg and 10.4 rpg and is second with 3.0 bpg.
- Gabrielle Rush scores 13.2 ppg, while Carlie Littlefield averages 12.9 ppg.
- Princeton is outscoring teams by 6.1 ppg and 8.3 in Ivy League contests.
- The Tigers are third in the conference with 70.7 ppg and give up the third most at 64.6 ppg.
LAST GAME AGAINST THE TIGERS
- Dartmouth lost a close contest, 82-75, at the hands of Princeton in a hard-fought game on Feb. 16.
- The Big Green raced out to a fast start and led 20-6 at the end of the first quarter.Â
- With Dartmouth holding onto a slim lead late in the second quarter, Cy Lippold went down with an injury. From there, the Big Green played for Cy. Katie Douglas hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Dartmouth led 40-35 at halftime.
- Princeton took the lead in the third and held onto a slim advantage for the remainder of the game.
- Alarie for the Tigers finished with 41 points and 13 rebounds.
- Quinones led the Big Green with 22 points and six rebounds, Brown had 14 points and Douglas finished with 11.
ALL-TIME AGAINST PRINCETON
- Since 1977, Dartmouth holds a 44-37 record over the Tigers.
- Since 2000, the Big Green are 18-23 against the Tigers.
- But since 2010, Dartmouth is 1-18. Their only win in that time came in March of 2017, when Dartmouth snapped a 14-game losing streak to Princeton.
SCOUTING PENN
- Penn suffered its second loss in its last four games when it fell to Princeton Tuesday night at home.
- The Quakers are 18-5 overall and 8-2 in the Ivy League with its losses coming to Harvard and Princeton.
- Eleah Parker leads the team with 14.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg and leads the Ivy League with 3.3 bpg.
- Princess Aghayere is second on the team with 11.9 ppg and pulls down 6.6 rpg. She is the reigning Ivy League Co-Player of the Week after averaging 21.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg.
- Ashley Russell is also in double figures with 10.8 ppg and leads the team with 4.5 apg and is second on the team with 6.7 rpg
- Penn outscores opponents by 12.3 ppg and leads the Ivy League defensively, allowing just 53.0 ppg.

LAST GAME AGAINST THE QUAKERS
- On Feb. 15, Dartmouth fell to the then top ranked Quakers, 60-44.
- The Big Green stayed in the game in the first quarter and only trailed 13-12 at the end of one.
- Dartmouth was outscored 18-5 in the second and could not make up the ground needed from there.
- Lippold led the Big Green with 19 points and was the only Dartmouth player in double figures.
- Quinones and Brown each finished with seven points. Quinones added five rebounds.
- For Penn, Ashley Russell finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Princess Aghayere had a 13-point 11-rebound double-double.
- Eleah Parker finished with 12 points and five rebounds for the Quakers.

ALL-TIME AGAINST PENN
- It has been a tight series against the Quakers since 1979 with Dartmouth holding a narrow 43-38 record over Penn all-time.
- Since 2000, the Big Green are 13-25 against the Quakers.
- Dartmouth has not beaten Penn since Feb. 22, 2014, marking nine straight losses.
- The Big Green are 2-17 against the Quakers since 2010.

DOUGIE GETS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
- For her strong performances against Yale and Brown, Douglas was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
- Douglas becomes the first Big Green player to earn a weekly award this season. She averaged 16.5 ppg, made 12 out of 19 shots from the field and drilled 5-10 from three. She was also 4-4 from the free throw line.
- Playing as the sixth-man this past weekend, Douglas first had 13 points in Dartmouth's buzzer-beating victory over Yale on 5-8 shooting in 33 minutes.
- Douglas then had her first career 20-point display against Brown. She shot 7-11 from the field and connected on 4-8 from deep. She scored 12 points in the third quarter, sparking the Big Green offense to pull away from the Bears.
