TIME CHANGES
Due to low temperatures in New York this weekend, time changes have been announced for the series. There will be a single game on Saturday that will begin at 2 p.m. and the doubleheader will now be played on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.
IVY SEASON
After playing its first 17 games in South Carolina, Florida and California, the Big Green are back in familiar territory as they begin Ivy League play at Columbia on Saturday and Sunday.
AGAINST CSUN
- In the rematch against CSUN on Tuesday, it was Dartmouth who came out on top, 10-9. Taylor Ward finished with a career high six RBI going 3-4 at the plate.
- The Big Green scored the first 10 runs and led 10-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth. CSUN then scored nine runs and stranded the tying run on third in the bottom of the seventh.
- Dartmouth scored five runs in the first on an RBI single from Micah Schroder, a wild pitch, a single by Tatyanah Castillo, a double by Ward and an RBI groundout off the bat of Tessa Grossman.
- Ward continued to tear it up at the plate. She drove in two with a base hit in the third and brought in three with a double in the fourth.
- It was all CSUN starting in the bottom of the fourth. The Matadors scored nine runs on three home runs, a double, a steal of home plate and a wild pitch.
- In the seventh, the Matadors had runners on the corners with nobody out, but Dartmouth forced a double play and a groundout ended the game.
- Billie McFadyen went 3-3 at the plate with two runs scored, while Schroder and Castillo each went 3-4 with an RBI and three runs scored.
AGAINST CAL STATE FULLERTON
- Wednesday's game went differently for Dartmouth as the Big Green fell 9-1 in five innings in its final west coast game.
- Schae Nelson hit her first home run of the season in the first to give the Big Green a 1-0 advantage. Schroder had a double in the second but Dartmouth could not capitalize.
- It was all Fullerton for the rest of the game. The Titans tied the game in the third with an RBI single.
- Fullerton then put together an eight run fourth inning using 11 batters to hit three singles and three doubles to run away with the win.
SCOUTING COLUMBIA
- Columbia went south to Miami, North Carolina and Clearwater, Florida where they found success, coming away with a 7-10 record.
- The Lions started 2-8, but have won five out of their last seven contests heading into Ivy League play.
- Columbia was picked to finish third in the Ivy preseason poll with 94 points and one first-place vote.
- The Lions lead the Ivy League with a .280 team batting average and are led by Max Ortega who is hitting .462 (third in Ivy League) with one home run, six doubles, a triple and 12 RBI (third in Ivy League).
- Sommer Grzybek leads the Ivy League with six home runs, is second with 16 RBI and is fifth with a .405 batting average.
- Alexandra Yule (.342) and Anny Stuart (.313) are also hitting above .300.
- In the circle, Columbia is fifth in the Ivy League with a 4.40 team ERA.
- Madison Canby leads the Lions with a 3.37 ERA in 10 appearances and nine starts. She has a 4-4 record with 27 strikeouts in 52.0 innings of work.
- Alexa Pinarski has made 13 appearances and seven starts and has a 5.36 ERA. She has 13 K's in 32.2 innings.
FRESHMEN LEADING THE WAY
- McFadyen and Madie Augusto have turned into the leading hitter and pitcher for the Big Green in the early season.
- McFadyen leads the team with a .326 batting average and is tied for the Big Green lead with one home run. She has two doubles, five RBI, a .435 slugging percentage and a .367 on base percentage.
- Augusto has made the most appearances in the circle with 15, including eight starts. She leads the Big Green with a 3.48 ERA and 27 K's in 52.1 innings.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
The home opener for Dartmouth softball is next when the Big Green host Penn next Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday doubleheader starts at 12:30 p.m. as does Sunday's game.
