THIS WEEKEND
The Big Green host Harvard this weekend in a rematch of the 2018 Ivy League Championship Series and Dartmouth will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the softball program. This is just the second weekend this season that the Big Green are playing at the Dartmouth Softball Park.
25TH ANNIVERSARY
This weekend marks the 25th anniversary of Dartmouth softball, there will be a ceremony between games on Saturday honoring past members of the Dartmouth softball family. In the 24 years since the team has been a varsity sport, there have been 19 All-Ivy League First Team Selections, 26 have been named to the Second Team and 30 players have earned an honorable mention nod. Sarah Damon '02, Kristen Rumley '15, Katie McEachern '16 and Karen Chaw '17 are the only four players in Big Green history to be named All-Conference three times. McEachern was named Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons in 2015 and 2016, while Rumley claimed Pitcher of the Year in three straight years from 2013 to 2015. Since the award was implemented in 2015, Shannon Doepking won the Ivy League's Coach of the Year twice in both 2015 and 2018.
