HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's tennis dropped a hard-fought match to Brown by a score of 4-3 at the Thompson Outdoor Courts on Senior Day Friday.
The Big Green are now 3-15 overall and 0-4 in Ivy League play, while the Bears improved to 10-10 and 2-2.
Brown picked up the first point of the afternoon following a 6-3 victory at the No. 1 doubles and a 6-4 win at the No. 3 spot. On court two, junior
Racquel Lyn and freshman
Jingyi Peng were narrowly trailing, 5-4, when the match went unfinished.
Junior
Chuyang Guan tied things up with her 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Katie Ta at the No. 5 singles position, but a win for the Bears on court four put them back ahead. Back-to-back Big Green victories by sophomore
Abigail Chiu on court two and Lyn at the top spot gave Dartmouth a 3-2 lead, but Brown wins at the No. 6 and 3 spots gave the match to the visitors.
Having played their last home match of the 2018-19 season, the Green will play the remaining three on the road, starting with Yale on Sunday.
