Day 2
THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth men's track & field team heads to the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championship hosted by Princeton at Weaver Stadium.
AT PRINCETON
•   Based on the league's site rotation, this is the first time back at Princeton since the 2016 meet.
•   The Big Green finished fifth that year with 51 points.
•   Looking to buck the trend, Dartmouth is seeking its best ever finish in the standings in an Ivy League Championship held at New Jersey's Ivy League institution. A fourth-place showing at Princeton in 1946 is the best for the Green on the Tigers' home turf.
LAST YEAR
•   Dartmouth was fourth last year at Franklin Field in Philadelphia with 74 points.
•   The Big Green were seventh after one day of competition, posting 15 points. The team made the jump to fourth with a strong Sunday, adding 59 points on the final day.
•  Â
Ben Ose took the crown in the decathlon, capping an impressive 2018 campaign in the multis that also included a win in the heptathlon during the indoor season.
•  Â
Ben Colello earned All-Ivy League Second Team recognition in two events, finishing second in the decathlon behind Ose, while also taking second in the javelin on Saturday.
•  Â
Max Frye was the other member of the team to earn All-Ivy League recognition in Philly, taking second-team honors in the 400m hurdles.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN 2019
•   Dartmouth has had several impressive efforts at non-scoring meets this spring, including at Georgia Tech and Virginia.
•   In scoring meets, the Green and White won their home meet on April 12 with an impressive 181 team points. They also have a second-place finish at UMass earlier in the month and a fourth-place performance at Northeastern just two weeks ago.

The entirety of the meet will be carried on ESPN+ for those who subscribe to the service.
