PRINCETON, N.J. — The Dartmouth men's track & field team is currently seventh after one day of competition at the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championship.
A record-setting run in the 200m, a strong first day in the decathlon and a sixth-place finish in the discus highlighted the team's first day at Weaver Stadium.

HIGHLIGHTS:
•   The lone point of the day for the Green and White came in the discus as
Lucas Ribeiro was sixth. The junior thrower's best toss came on his second attempt as it measured 48.20m.
•   Though it didn't warrant a point as it came in the prelims,
Donovan Spearman set a new program record in the 200m, running a 21.11 to qualify for Sunday's final in second place. Spearman broke his own program mark that he set just two weeks ago in Virginia, running a 21.14 that day. The previous mark of 21.20 set by Gerry Ashworth '63 had stood for nearly six decades, but has now been bested twice in the last month by the current Dartmouth sophomore.
•  Through five events, senior
Ben Ose is the leader in the decathlon. Ose has 3857 points thanks in large part to event wins in the long jump and 400m and second-place finishes in the 100m and high jump.
