WEDNESDAY
The two New Hampshire Division 1 programs will square off in Durham Wednesday night when Dartmouth stays in-state for a major matchup against No. 18 UNH. The Wildcats are undefeated on the season, while the Big Green are coming off a key home win.
DOWN GOES SPARTY
- Dartmouth took down Michigan State, 2-1, Saturday night.
- Braden Salvati scored in the 34th minute and Zach Kalk sent home the game winner in the 78th minute.
- Dawson McCartney got the first goal started when he sent a free kick that found Clayton Molter and deflected off the keeper for Salvati, who found the back of the net.
- MSU tied the score in the 52nd minute with a goal from Michael Miller.
- Kota Sakurai found Kalk for the game winner. Kalk fought his way past two MSU defenders and sent the ball home, giving the Big Green a huge home win.
- Goalkeeper Alex Budnik finished with five saves including a couple of key diving stops.
SCOUTING UNH
- As always, UNH is one of the best teams in New England and it shows with a No. 18 national ranking.
- The Wildcats are undefeated with a 3-0-2 record with wins over BU (1-0), Providence (2-1) and Fairfield (4-0). They finished in a tie against Colgate (0-0) and Syracuse (2-2).
- UNH has played their last four games on the road, making Wednesday only their second home game of the season.
- Fabian Lutz, Donnett Sackie and Chris Arling are tied for the team lead with two goals each.
- Rory O'Driscoll, Bilal Kamal and Jack Doherty each have one goal and seven players have at least one assist.
AGAINST THE WILDCATS
- This will be the 46th all-time meeting between Dartmouth and UNH.
- The Big Green lead the series, 23-15-7.
- These two teams battled to a scoreless draw in an early season matchup last season.
- Since 1990, the Big Green hold a 12-9-4 record over the Wildcats. The teams have been evenly matched since 2000 with the record even at 6-6-3.
IVY AWARDS
- Zach Kalk picked up his first conference weekly award on Monday when he was named the Ivy League Player of the Week.
- Kalk had an assist against UMass and scored the game-winning goal to top Michigan State.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Budnik was named to the honor roll for posting a shutout against UMass and earning the win against the Spartans.
TOP DRAWER
- Junior Dawson McCartney was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week.
- McCartney scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against Massachusetts, and then defeated Michigan State 2-1 on Saturday.
- McCartney played every minute of the two wins.

- McCartney, Kalk, Salvati and David Alino each have one goal for the Big Green.
- Six players have an assist.
- Budnik is tied for the Ivy League lead with 15 saves. He is second with five saves per game and one shutout.
