HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth junior
Tricia Mangan was named the EISA Women's Alpine Skier of the Week for her performances at the Vermont Carnival this past weekend. The 2018 Olympian earned a pair of podiums for the Big Green, garnering 94 points for nearly half of the women's alpine team's total over the weekend (198).
Mangan, hailing from Buffalo, New York, was incredibly consistent in both races. In the giant slalom on Friday, she had the third-fastest time on her first run before posting the best time on her second tour to finish in second place in 2:16.4. The following day, Mangan was sitting in fourth place after her first attempt before ripping off the second-best time on the second run, boosting her into second place once again in 1:54.34.
With the two second-place finishes, Mangan has now placed second seven times in just over a year on the college carnival circuit, plus took third in the giant slalom at the 2019 NCAA Championship to earn All-America First Team honors.
Dartmouth will be back in action Friday morning at the Colby Carnival.
