Subject: The Female Athlete Body Project
Description: According to an NCAA study, ~25% of D1 female athletes endorse poor body esteem. Poor body esteem is a risk factor for anxiety, depression, and unsafe dieting. To help foster improved body esteem, I am happy to share that I will be facilitating a 3-part workshop called the Female Athlete Body Project. This is an evidence-based and dissonance-based program that has been shown to:
- Improve body esteem in female college athletes.
- Support student-athlete mental health.
- Foster the ability to have positive athlete-to-athlete conversations around body image.
By participating in this workshop, you build the skills to be a peer advocate of positive body image and facilitate peer athlete conversations. Registration info below and all female athletes are welcome to participate! Event Details…
Who Should Attend: Open to all female student-athletes
