Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their fall seasons postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Lia Constantine from Fredericksburg, Virginia, of the field hockey team.
Â
DartmouthSports.com: What have workouts been like so far?
Lia Constantine: I am not approved so I have been going on runs along the river every morning.
Â
DS: What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
LC: When my teammate (
Kira Koehler) and I scored together, I remember being so happy, not only that we scored, but that I had the opportunity to do it with one of my great friends and teammates.
Â
DS: What is your most memorable non-sports memory?
LC: Running the Prouty my sophomore summer with my teammates and friends! Also, getting my first job offer this summer for after graduation. And, cannot forget doing the polar plunge!
Â
DS: Do you have any hidden talents?
LC: Hmm, I am a coffee connoisseur... Dirt Cowboy's Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is my favorite.
Â
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
LC: I would swap places with my teammate Amelie because she has amazing stick skill!
Â
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth (as much as you can plan for anything during this pandemic)?
LC: I am working for ClearView Healthcare Partners as an analyst before applying to medical school.
Â
DS: What was the best gift you ever received?
LC: My Garmin running watch from my parents.
Â
DS: Other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life and why?
LC: As a pre-med student and neuroscience major at Dartmouth, I am always challenged and competitive with my peers in school to constantly be better as a student, as well as a person. The best part of Dartmouth is the people by far, and I am so incredibly lucky to have spent almost four years with people who constantly push me to be better in the classroom, on the field and in everyday life.
