Role description:
-This role will support the Director of Strategy & Business Development (Dartmouth Tuck alum) to conduct research and assessments of our business environment and better position ourselves commercially and strategically
-Market research, competitive intelligence and market sizing to help us better understand our markets and how we can grow and build partnerships
-Research may include some anthropology studies to better understand the genetics/heritage of people of African descent and how this information can be used to better understand population genetics and equalizing precision medicine for people of African descent and also improving healthcare globally
-Research needs for the strategy include business environment analysts, SWOTs, competitive intelligence, market forecasting
This role will suit someone with an interest in social innovation, healthcare and medicine
Requirements for the role:
-A top performing student with a good understanding of biological sciences and genetics as well as an interest in healthcare technology and innovation
-Interest and understanding of drug R&D and the importance of genetics equality in medicine

Description: Blue Room is a start-up investment company whose core business is investment management with three main areas of focus: capital appreciation, biotech, and precious metals. What's a little different about us though is that we're also passionate about making a positive change in two ways; by diverting 10% of our revenues towards non-profit work (the arts, social initiatives, music and many other areas) through our Togetherism arm, and by investing in early-stage social enterprises through our other arm, Blue Room Regenerative Capital.Â
The bulk of the role would be doing equity research. In a few short months of operations, Blue Room has funded two Regenerative Capital projects valued at $14 million and $10 million, post-money. In these projects, our current interns contributed the fundamental research that ultimately contributed to the investment decision.Â
