WATERTOWN, Mass. – Dartmouth women's tennis had a 5-2 win over Boston University at the Mount Auburn Club on Saturday.
The Terriers won at the No. 1 doubles position by a score of 6-3 before
Racquel Lyn and
Allison McCann countered with a 6-4 win on court two. BU (5-4) earned the first point following a 6-4 victory at the No. 3 position.
Four of the six singles matches went to three sets. Dartmouth (6-5) made it a 2-1 match following wins by
Catherine Cable and
Chidimma Okpara on courts four and three, but a Terrier win at the No. 2 position tied things up. That proved to be the last win BU would get, as victories by
Nicole Conard, McCann and
Ashley Hess gave the match to the Big Green.
In two weeks, Dartmouth will head to California to face San Diego, Long Beach State, Arizona and Loyola Marymount before Ivy League play commences at the end of March.
