Dartmouth won 10 of 17 races

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dartmouth sailing began its spring season at the Sharpe Team Race Trophy in Providence, R.I. and came away with a third-place finish out of eight teams.

The group of seniors Audrey Giblin and Paige Clarke, sophomores Cole Harris, Ryan Goldstein and Maddie Sharp and freshmen Drew Clutterbuck, Christopher Long and Boyd Bragg competed for the Big Green.

Dartmouth won 10 out of 17 total races. The team defeated MIT and Tufts once, and Boston University, Rhode Island and Roger Williams twice.

In the final four, Dartmouth beat the hosts Brown along with Tufts.

Brown finished first, while Roger Williams placed second.

The Big Green do not compete again until the end of the month on March 28-29: The team travels to the Lynne Marchiando Team Race Trophy at MIT, the Jumbo Team Race at Tufts, the Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy at Brown and the BU Trophy in Boston.
