HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth sailing team collected several NEISA (New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association) honors for the 2019-20 season, the conference announced on Friday.
Freshman
Boyd Bragg was named the Rookie of the Year after leading his team to second-place finishes at the Harry Anderson Regatta, Sherman Hoyt Trophy and the Coed Showcase.

"Bragg was the overwhelming choice for the NEISA Rookie of the Year honor," said the NEISA Awards Committee. "Bragg's finishes as a first-year sailor are truly outstanding. After placing second in B-Division at the Harry Anderson regatta, Bragg moved to A-Division for the remainder of the season and placed second in two A-Division events. He then finishing off the fall with a third in A-Division at the NEISA Fall Championship."

Freshman
Payton Thompson was named a finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award. Thompson started her career with a fifth-place finish at the Toni Deutsch Regatta followed by second-place at the NEISA Showcase Qualifier and a victory at the Yale Women's Trophy.

Four members of the Big Green received First-Team honors in their respective races. Bragg as a Coed Skipper, senior
Audrey Giblin as a Women's Skipper, senior
Paige Clarke as a Coed Crew and sophomore
Carlota Hopkins Guerra as a Women's Crew.

Dartmouth had four Second-Team selections as well. Giblin as a Coed Skipper, Thompson and junior
Kathryn Hall as Women's Skippers and sophomore
Aisling Sullivan as a Women's Crew.

On top of the First-Team honor, Clarke was awarded with the Student Leadership Award.

"During Paige's college career she held leadership roles on her team, NEISA, and ICSA," said the NEISA Awards Committee. "At Dartmouth, Paige was team commodore her junior year and team captain senior year. NEISA greatly benefited from Paige's time as secretary and president. Paige provided excellent and timely meeting minutes, organized developing team symposium, attended ICSA winter and spring meetings, and as undergraduate representative on ICSA women's team race committee. Paige's leadership legacy will leave Dartmouth, NEISA, and ICSA for the better."
