Taylor Hantman and junior
Sara Falkson will assume the leadership positions for the 49th season of Big Green field hockey in Hanover.
Â
Voted on by the team, players were not only asked to cast their ballot for individuals to lead the program, but also explain why they picked the player they did and why they felt that teammate would be up to the challenge of leading Dartmouth in 2020.
Â
"I'm confident that this process has helped us better understand what a captain is, and isn't, on this team, while also leaving me with no doubt that we have chosen two captains who will embody the values our program is starting to really cherish," Egner said.
Â
A 2019 All-Ivy League Honorable Mention player, Hantman started all 17 games and led the team with six assists. Falkson — in just her second season with the team — made nine starts in 15 games a season ago and was second on the team with a pair of defensive saves.
