Freshman Adrien Wheaton-Schopp grabbed the lead for Columbia against the run of play, as he scored in the 38
th minute.
With Dartmouth piling on the pressure and things getting heated between both teams, the momentum swung in the Big Green favor in the 78
th minute as Columbia's Max Gonzalez was given two yellow cards in a 20 second span.
The Big Green continued to send men forward to take advantage of the extra man. Pickering found himself in a great position in front of net as the ball fell to his and he smashed it into the goal to tie the game with 45 seconds remaining.
Dartmouth carried the momentum into extra time as senior
Ohad Yahalom put the ball in the back of the net inside the first minute to seal the come-from-behind victory, but the officials called it back for offside.
The Big Green came away with the first Ivy point of the season and look to bring that same energy on the road next Saturday at Harvard.
