COMMUNITY & INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE
- Izzy Glennon '22 has organized a competition for all Varsity Teams in a race to 100% completion of the Healthy Minds Survey, which will launch Wednesday, October 20th, 2021. The simple act of completing this survey can help Dartmouth support students' mental health and wellbeing. There will be team prizes and one hundred $20 Amazon gift cards will be given to randomly selected students who complete the survey. Look for an email invitation* from: HealthyMinds-Dartmouth@umich.edu *BONUS! Bring the attached invitation to Collis Cafe, Courtyard Cafe, Novak Cafe, or ramekin for a FREE regular hot or iced coffee between 10/20/21 - 11/3/21.
- NCAA Diversity & Inclusion Week is Here #NCAAInclusion: Stay tuned as @dartmouthSAAC leads the way and all 35 teams engage! Day 1 (Tuesday, Oct. 19): "My Voice, My Platform": exploring student-athletes' identities, perspectives, and experiences. Day 2 (Wednesday, Oct. 20): "Championing Change": outlining personal and institutional action steps for inclusive excellence. Day 3 (Thursday, Oct. 21): "Belonging Is…": defining belonging to support fostering communities of belonging within athletics.
- October is Dating Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and WISE is here for you! Dating violence, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence are all terms used to refer to a relationship that is abusive. Click here to learn more. When we understand the dynamics of dating and domestic violence, we can take action to end it.

- For academic advising meetings, students can schedule with their Undergraduate Dean, attend Dean Drop-In Hours or schedule with DP2 Academics.
-Time Management Resources: As we enter the second half of the term, it is important to manage your time intentionally. The Academic Skills Center has some great resources for time management, including making a schedule, structuring planners, and creating an online calendar.

- *Job Alert* – DP2 Academic Mentor Position – DP2 is looking for academic mentors in Economics and Government. The paid position will monitor the Peters Study Lounge evening hours once a week and be a connection for student-athletes on general academic skills, campus resources as well as have strong coursework from introductory courses to mentor student-athletes in Economics and Government. - Network for Women in Sports (NWiS) – Tomorrow, Tues., at 8:00pm in Carson L01: Tips and Tricks for Time Management and Maximizing Training as a Female Athlete – The NWiS is hosting a meeting with Dartmouth alum and current Dartmouth Triathlon Coach, Katie Clayton. As a serious triathlon athlete and PhD student, Katie is well versed in the struggle to manage your time and get the most out of your training. This Tuesday Katie will be sharing her experience and sharing a little bit about cycle-based training for menstruating athletes

- D-LAB (Dartmouth Leadership Attitudes and Behaviors) is a 7-week program designed for first-year students to discover the relationship between leadership and their personal values. Participants will engage in in-person activities and small group discussion, facilitated by upper-level students, throughout the winter term. Participants will walk away with new friendships, closer ties to the Dartmouth community, impactful leadership skills, and a greater understanding of how values translate into action.
