HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team fell to #15/14 Harvard, 9-3, in their season opener on Friday evening at Thompson Arena.

Dartmouth goes to 0-1-0 overall and in ECAC Hockey play.

Tanner Palocsik, sophomore
Ryan Sorkin, and sophomore
Joey Musa each scored for the Big Green.

Harvard jumped out to an early lead as Matthew Coronato scored just 70 seconds into the first period to give them a 1-0 lead. The Crimson added two more, one in the first and one in the second period before Dartmouth got on the board.

Palocsik scored his first of the season after picking up a loose puck, taking it himself towards goal, and burying it past Harvard goaltender Mitchell Gibson.

The Crimson added five more to their lead by the end of the second period.

The Big Green outscored Harvard in the third by a score of 2-1. Freshman
Trym Løkkeberg passed the puck to sophomore
Tyler Borsch, who centered it to Sorkin for the one-time finish for his first collegiate goal.

Joey Musa also scored his first collegiate goal after pouncing on a loose puck in front of net and smashing it home.

It was a night of firsts as Sorkin, Musa, Løkkeberg, Borsch, and freshman
Braiden Dorfman picked up their first collegiate points.

Dartmouth is back in action again on Saturday evening as they play host to UConn at Thompson Arena. Puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m.
