HANOVER, N.H. — U.S. Ski & Snowboard recently chose skiers to fill out its newly formed Junior Eastern Region Team, and three from the Dartmouth men's alpine team were included — sophomore
Preston O'Brien along with freshmen
Oliver Morgan and
Jordan Simon.
The team was created to help Eastern ski racers make the jump to the U.S. Ski Team and continue to develop to the highest levels by recognizing the athletic accomplishments of the top junior racers in the East, supporting their continued athletic progress and creating a team of athletes that can work together as they pursue their full athletic potential.
By being a part of the team, the trio and their teammates will have "automatic" status at all of the Eastern Region and Tri-Regional projects, which includes prep-period programming, in-season camps and training days and selected competition projects for national-level events and Nor-Ams.
The Dartmouth 2022 ski season is set to begin with the Colby Carnival on Jan. 14-15.
