THIS WEEKEND
After a huge 2-0 home weekend, the Dartmouth volleyball team is looking to keep the ball rolling for its final road trip of 2021 to Cornell and Columbia.

LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green blanked Penn (25-20, 25-13, 25-21) and beat Princeton – the team voted to finish first in the conference – in five sets (26-24, 25-14, 14-25, 14-25, 16-14) in the team's penultimate home weekend.
·     This is the first time the Big Green have defeated the Tigers since 2017.
·     At the end of the weekend,
Ellie Blain had a total of 31 kills (3.88/set) and 34 points, leading the team in both categories.

Makenzie Arent and
Emma Engstrom both had 41 assists (5.13/set), while Engstrom was first with 39 digs (4.88/set).
·     Dartmouth is now fifth in the Ivy League, a game ahead of Penn and two ahead of Cornell and Columbia.
·     Blain was named the DartmouthSports.com Female Athlete of the Week for her performances.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Having just played each other the weekend before last, not much has happened since then. After falling to Harvard and Dartmouth on the 15th and 16th, Cornell got a five-set win from Columbia. Most recently, the Big Red didn't get a single set out of Yale or Brown.

LAST TIME AGAINST CORNELL
On Oct. 16, the Big Green downed the Big Red, 3-1 (25-19, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20).

Blain had a double-double (19K, 10D) and 22.5 points, while
Taite Ryan and Engstrom were first with 18 digs apiece. Murphy had 28 assists, and three players had two aces each.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
Columbia picked up its second Ivy win the day after falling to Dartmouth, beating Harvard in straight sets. Since then, it's been four straight losses to Rider (3-1), Cornell (3-2), Brown (3-0) and Yale (3-0).

LAST TIME AGAINST COLUMBIA
On Oct. 15, Dartmouth won its first conference match with a 3-0 sweep of Columbia (25-16, 25-17, 25-23).

Ryan had a double-double (14D, 10K), leading the team in both categories while also being first with 11 points. Arent led with 17 assists and three aces and
Piper Stevens was first with three block assists.
