The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team plays their final road contest of 2021 when they travel to Merrimack for a non-conference matchup on Friday.
LOOKING BACK TO TWO WEEKS AGO
- Dartmouth returned to ECAC Hockey action when they took on Yale and Brown.
- The Big Green fell to Yale, 3-2, in overtime in the first game of the weekend before falling to Brown by a score of 4-0.
- Freshman Matt Hubbarde picked up the first multi-point game of his young career with a one goal and one assist effort against Yale.
- Freshman Braiden Dorfman scored his first collegiate goal midway through the second period against Yale.
THE BIG GREEN STATS
- Junior Mark Gallant leads the team in scoring with six goals in the eight games he's played in. Senior Jeff Losurdo, sophomore Joey Musa, and Hubbarde each have two goals.
- Freshman Sean Chisholm has a team-leading six assists so far this season. Junior Tanner Palocsik and Losurdo have five assists while Musa has four.
- Gallant, Losurdo, and Chisholm share the team lead in points with seven. Palocsik and Musa are tied for second with six points apiece.
- The Big Green have utilized two goaltenders this season, senior Justin Ferguson and sophomore Clay Stevenson. Ferguson has played in six games and has accumulated 137 saves for a save percentage of .846. Stevenson has appeared in five games and has stopped 134 shots for a save percentage of .918.
RECENT HISTORY AGAINST THE WARRIORS
- The teams last played each other during the 2015-16 season in the Ledyard Classic.
- The Big Green won by a score of 3-0.
- Grant Opperman, Brett Patterson, and Nick Bligh scored for Dartmouth, while Charles Grant posted a 22 save shutout.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
- Merrimack enters Friday's contest with a 6-9 record.
- The Warriors fell to #12 UMass in overtime, 3-2, in Hockey East action on December 8.
- Max Newton leads the team in scoring with seven goals while Filip Forsmark and Ben Brar have six apiece.
- Newton also leads the team in assists with nine. Declan Carlile and Liam Walsh are just behind in second with eight assists each.
- Leading the way in points is Newton with 16 while Forsmark and Carlile are tied for second with 11.
- Zachary Borgiel has played 10 games between the pipes for Merrimack, making 217 saves for a save percentage of .886. Hugo Ollas has appeared in five games, stopping 121 shots.

Dartmouth returns to Thompson on December 30 and 31 for the 32
nd Annual Ledyard Classic. The Big Green will play New Hampshire on the 30
th. The game will be live on NESN or can be streamed on ESPN+.
