PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team was defeated by Brown, 4-0, in ECAC Hockey action on Saturday evening at Meehan Auditorium.
Â
The Big Green fall to 2-8 on the season with a 2-5 ECAC Hockey record.
Â
Brown opened the scoring midway through the first period. Sophomore goaltender
Clay Stevenson saved the initial shot, but the rebound fell perfectly for the Bears to capitalize, and Thomas Manty found himself in great position on the right side of the goal to tap it in.
Â
After an extended first intermission, Brown scored two goals inside the opening three minutes of the second period to push their lead to 3-0.
Â
With the time winding down late in the third period, Stevenson was pulled in favor of the extra attacker as the Big Green looked to cut into the deficit. The Bears took advantage and scored an empty net goal.
Â
Stevenson made several big saves throughout this one, finishing the night with 26 saves.
Â
Dartmouth is off for roughly two weeks, when they travel to Merrimack for their final road game in 2021.
