HANOVER, N.H. – Four members of the Dartmouth field hockey team earned recognition as NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction for the 2020-21 year.
Â
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) honor is presented to student-athletes who achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. This season, just 250 field hockey players from across Division I were recognized for reaching such lofty academic standards.
Â
For Dartmouth, freshman
Lila Browne, sophomore
Lauren Devletian, junior
Gracyn Campbell and senior
Kira Koehler all met the requirements to be honored, giving the Big Green one member from each class a spot on the list.
Â
For Koehler, Campbell and Devletian, this is the second straight year in which they were recognized after each earned it last season (2019) as well.
Â
"When we talk to people about being a student-athlete at Dartmouth, we often mention our ability to achieve excellence in both aspects of that life on campus," first-year head coach
Mark Egner said. "The achievements of Lila, Lauren, Gracyn and Kira recognized today shows their dedication to being elite. I'm incredibly proud of their work in the classroom this fall"
