HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's track & field team hosted its only home event of the 2020-21 season on Friday afternoon.

The Big Green welcomed competition from Vermont, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Plymouth State to Memorial Field for a non-scoring meet on a beautiful sunny day in the Upper Valley.
 THE HIGHLIGHTS:
Sophomore Myles Epstein won the 100m in 10.49, eclipsing his previous PR from April by two-hundredths of a second.
Senior Timothy Zepf was another winner, taking the top spot in the 800m. In a field of 21 runners, the Big Green harrier ran a 1:49.45, besting the next-best time by more than three seconds.
Max Frye was dominant in the 400m hurdles, finishing first in 52.40. The second-place runner from UML was 11 seconds behind.
The Green and White claimed the top four spots in the 5000m with freshman Declan O'Scannlain (14:47.85) taking first. The Dartmouth rookie was followed by Trey Cormier (14:50.13), Colin Donnelly (14:50.37) and Will Chaffin (14:52.74).
The quartet of Justin Stevens, Epstein, Frye and MJ Farber ran a 3:17.94 in the 4x400m relay to win the event. Dartmouth's C (3:25.80) and B (3:30.40) squads also claimed second and fourth, respectively, in the relay.
An impressive throw from Michael Gabriel on his fifth attempt measured 183-6/55.94m to secure a first-place finish in the hammer throw. A dominant display by the Dartmouth throwers saw the home team go one-two-three in the standings as Drew Palermo (178-2/54.30m) and Myles Schreck (175-9/53.57m) followed Gabriel.
Gabriel would also claim second in the shot put with a 48-11/14.91m toss on his fourth throw of the afternoon.
Corbin Mayes won the pole vault, clearing 14-9/4.50m on his third and final attempt at the height. Connor Luck (13-3.5/4.05m), Ethan Hughes (12-9.5/3.90m) and Ryan Cashman (12-3.5/3.75m) were third through fifth, respectively.
In the final event of the day, Owen Ritz (30.04.91) and Benjamin Matejka (30:50.36) were first and second, respectively, in the 10,000m race.
Will Daley (3:47.83) and Eric Gibson (3:50.06) were second and third, respectively, in the 1500m.
