High winds and extreme cold forced the postponement of the classical and slalom races

WATERVILLE/CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine — Due to extreme cold and high winds, the second day of the Colby Carnival was postponed. The slalom races have been rescheduled to start on Sunday morning, while the cross country races will be rescheduled at a future date.
Dartmouth finished the first day of the carnival in third place with 367 points, trailing only Vermont (412) and Middlebury (409).
